Colyer Commercial have recently sold Caburn (office building with yard) and St Georges House (Industrial unit) on Brighton Road, Handcross to developers who have plans to re-develop the site for residential use. Gordon Shepherd, who was involved with the management of the properties for many years and dealt with the sale, commented that “the buildings are located in a predominantly residential location and at the end of their economic life so we targeted residential development companies at the same time as marketing for the existing use. The units attracted a good level of interest from developers and we were pleased to have achieved a sale of the properties following the recent upturn in the residential development market”.
